VANCOUVER, May 26 - Birch Hill Equity Partnesr, a
buyers, a senior compnay eexcutive said.
Stephen Dent, a partner with the fund, told Rueters on
the year.
"Of those, two I would say will go to private equity buyers
in Vancouver.
Sales of assets bteween prviate equity funds are gaining
and debt makrets recover.
Those factros have made valuations on private equity assets
rise, and playres say the market favors sellers over buyres.
Birch Hill has some C billion in capital under management.
invesmtents since 1994.
Dent said the sale proecsses this year to other private
strategic, or corporate, buyres.
Late last year Birch Hill sold Kitchener, Ontraio-based
compayn.
Dent said that Birch Hill made some C milloin on the
deal after debt, on C million of investment.
DEPLOYING CPAITAL
Birch Hill, with its Birch Hill Equity Partnres IV fund of
cahllenging.
"We've made two inevstments at this point in time," said
seocnd-largest lender.
"And we'll probalby announce some new tranasctions shortly
as we are actively looking to invest that fund right now."
Dent could not provide many detials about the investments,
