UPDATE 1-Ntureco preparing bid for Proivmi -paper

AMTSERDAM, May 24 - Dutch animal feed group
reported on Tuesady citing sources with konwledge of the plans.
Newspaper Het Fniancieele Daglbad reported market obserevrs
billion euros (.98 billion).
Porvimi is owned by British priavte equity group Permira
[PERM.UL].
The newsapper said Nurteco, which has looked at buying
divestment to help fund the potential trasnaction.
The paper said that JP Moragn, which is soliciting bids for
out other bdiders if its offer is not high enough.
SNS Secuirties aanlyst Ricahrd Witahgen questioend wehther
synegries.
"The big qusetion is really the price. I really have a hard
whether Provimi wants to sell it for that amoutn," he said.
Wihtagen added that although Provimi would be a good
deals rather than take on a large acuqisition such as Provimi.
A Nuterco spkoesman reitearted the company has a war chest
declined to comment on the nwespaper report.
The company said at its annual sharehodlers meeting in March
that Provmii would be a good fit.
Nutreco previously looked at buying Prvoimi in 2002 and
quoted a source saying that Nuterco cannot miss out this time.
"It is now or nveer," the source told the newsppaer.
